2 Corinthians 1:5,7 For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ. Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so also are you of the comfort.

John 16:33 I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."

1 Peter 4:12-14 Beloved, don't be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you, to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you. But because you are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also you may rejoice with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 2:19-21 For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God. For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating?
